Shoe Joy - the ones that didn't get away!

I've always been mildly obsessed with Kate Middleton's shoes...in fact shoes in general.  Ok...a lot obsessed, but I'm a girl...I can't help it!

They always fit, even on fat days, and make or break any outfit.  Anyone who has seen the countless photos of my shoes all over the world will attest to my love of footwear.  I can't control myself...I take photos of my shoes everywhere I go - crunchy gravel driveways, cobblestone streets, beaches...

Exhibit A

We all know of Kate's love of LK Bennett wedges - we have seen them with plenty of outfits - but it was Pippa's shoes that caught my eye this time...the same as Kate's, but nude.  Very interesting. Very, very interesting.  And so the hunt begins...

Here is the shoe.  Perfect really...don't you think?  I saw them in Toronto and couldn't resist a closer look.  You know that moment when you find the perfect shoe or shirt and you just know this is what it will take...this is the finishing touch...with these shoes, my life will be complete.  Then the Suburban Prince saw the price tag.  Remember when I saw the Van Cleef necklace?  Have a peek at what happened that day, it involves shoes!  The beautiful, life changing shoes went back on the shelf and we left the store.  Don't get me wrong...I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a pair of shoes.  A purse, yes.  Shoes?  No.  It sounds strange but I don't wear shoes enough to warrant buying expensive ones. I drive everywhere and rarely have to walk on sidewalks - my shoes are mostly for getting from the car, then sitting at a table or perhaps standing with a cocktail.  Anyhoo...I still wanted a nude, closed toe wedge.

I spotted this little beauty while looking at the new fall items at ON...their website coming to Canada has been the greatest thing ever.  I live 45 minutes away from any malls so now I just get everything shipped to my house - shopping in pajamas is awesome!  I happened to be in the mall a couple of weeks ago and popped in to the store to see if these shoes were in stock.  Of course...they were not.
But...these were!!!!  OMG I liketa die!

I really did almost have a heart attack!  Ok well maybe not quite, but I did get heart palpitations when I saw them.  I have spent something like 18 months looking for a shoe just like this...and there I stumbled upon it by accident!  And...because the sun shines on the righteous...there was a pair in my size.

I tried them on, fell in deep smit and bought them before anyone else could spot them.  Mission accomplished.

If you can, please leave your comment here instead of on Twitter. Thanks!

Have a fabulous day!

Great find on the shoes! A nude shoe is classic. F course, in my skin color, I have to buy a tan shoe to get the nude look lol.

How exciting! They really are so cute and you'll get lots of wear out of them with that neutral color - goes with everything.

Do you wear driving loafers when you drive? Because I could see the heel on these getting black scuff marks very easily from your car's rubber floor mats (if you have those).

Love how tiny your feet are in the first picture...am a wee bit envious :)

Loving the pink & green pic, natch. And wedges are nifty...it's nice to see them making a comeback. Total 70s flashback. :)

I like the trend of nude shoes, but heels don't fit into my lifestyle. Your green flats are more likely for me. The others are gorgeous, though.

Oops sorry, thought I left a comment. Anything in nude gets worn and worn in my experience. Love those top ones!

Okay those shoes--I got some very similar ones at JCPenney this year. Normally I don't shop there but I was looking for dressy wedges and I got a pair of black ones that look exactly like those beige ones. I tried to order them in beige/tan as well, but they were out-of-stock on my size. Bummer. So pretty though. And wedges are so much easier to walk in than heels. Here's a link to the ones I got--they don't even show the tan ones anymore as a choice :(
