Outfit of the day

I always mean to take photos of my outfits but usually I am busy trying to get out the door without forgetting anything and by the time I get home I cant be bothered but I managed to pull together a polyvore!  I took all of my brain cells to get this to work and once I saved it I had no idea how to get it onto my blog except as a screen shot so I have some learning to do!  I just wish I could upload my own photos to polyvore.

In the spring I was in T&Co so I could pick up the mug I wanted and, while I waited in line (in the middle of the day - what recession?), I did some people watching.  There were three girls from England being served - they were dripping in 'Return To' jewelry and denim vests.  You know the type.  I think they subscribe to the idea of keeping their money where they can see it!

I'm not one to wear more than one piece of a certain brand at one time.  I feel it makes one look like one is trying too hard.  In this case though my T&Co wrap is the only one that goes with this outfit and I only wore it on the plane when I was chilly.  Otherwise I would've chosen a different wrap - by the way, if you don't have a silk/cashmere wrap, I highly recommend putting one on your Christmas list.  They are perfection year round!

Happy Birthday To Me!

This is a quiet birthday for me as it is number 39!  Today the Suburban Prince is taking me into the city to one of the hotels for high tea and champagne!  Yum!

I am also going to LV to get a new bag paid for with money gifted to me on previous birthdays and other holidays - yes I am that person who immediately puts money into high interest savings accounts so it earns it's keep while I decide what to do with it.  I know I am in the midst of a shopping ban but this is a special occassion and the money was a gift for me with the sole purpose of aquiring something pretty. The Suburban Prince said he already has my birthday present and it isn't a LV item.  Hmmmmm.  I know he hasn't been into the city so I dont think it will be a little blue box either.  I have been stalking the mail box too so I dont think he had anything delivered unless it arrived and he managed to get to it before I did.  I guess I will find out soon enough!

BOO'd my neighbour across the street. I did not get caught so I considered my mission a success! Every day I have been looking out my front window and she still hasn't put her sign up! Do you have any idea how hard it is to bite my tongue and not ask her why she isn't playing along?! I think I will have the Suburban Prince drop a hint of some sort!

On Saturday morning my housekeeper showed up an hour late, and since I assumed she wasn't showing up at all I resigned myself to doing all the cleaning myself. I wouldn't have bothered but I had company coming and little or no patience for this sort of drama. When I stopped screaming after she snuck up on me (Ok to be fair the hoover was running and I didn't hear her coming in so alright, she didn't actually sneak up on me) she told me it isn't working out. Huh? No kidding! The moment I had to start the search for the mop I knew this wasn't going to work out! I just don't understand why she came here an hour late to quit! Nice eh! Fortunately housekeepers are a dime a dozen and I have someone coming tomorrow to meet us and hopefully start this week!
Before you think I am a terrible boss - don't...this didn't work out because I just cant tolerate an employee who lets their personal issues interfere with their job. I am very kind to people who work for me but this isn't the first time she was late or just didn't show up. One time she actually called in because she was too hungover to come to work!

I have everything ready for this week! The lists are made, most of the groceries have been purchased and I have my schedule laid out. I am ready! I think Halloween is my new favourite holiday - it's kind of like Christmas with the decorations, candy and fun but without all the annoyances like trying to find a gift for my 75 year old mother in law who doesn't want anything! I cant wait to see the Little Prince in his monkey costume!

Louis Vuitton Bedding!

I love Etsy! There! I said it!!! I can't get enough of it! Everyday I look for fun and interesting items - I do a lot of Christmas shopping on there - and every once in a while something is listed that just makes me stop in my tracks! A few weeks ago this exact sort of thing happened! I was doing my usual searches (Lilly, LV, Burberry etc) when I came across an item that caused me to react the way Ralphie did when he first saw the Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model air rifle.

I present to you....Louis Vuitton Bedding. Yes, bedding. Sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases!!! As you know every princess needs to lay her weary head on something worthy of her locks and I had found just the thing! I quickly ordered pillowcases in 2 patterns. I thought about buying entire sheet sets but I know overkill when I see it! I ordered just pillowcases and bought some plain brown sheets to go with them. I put them on our bed last night and all I can say is finally my bedding is worthy of me! LOL ok maybe that was a bit much (overkill remember) but still...it was so much fun to jump into bed with LV bedding!
