My new best friend
I avoided upgrading my phone for a loooong time. I have used the same phone for 6 or 7 years and never felt much need to get anything that does more than be a phone. These days I am so busy running around from one meeting to another all while running my home and business I decided the time had come. No longer was I willing to be kept waiting for 20 minutes at a doctor's office and not be able to check my emails.
After weeks and weeks of research I opted for this little number. I got it in white, because that's what all the cool kids are doing. It arrived ready to use, unlike the old days when a phone arrived blank and needed to be charged for 24 hours. I spent the first night programming all of my contacts into it, quite chuffed I figured out that much on the first day and waited anxiously for the next morning when the Suburban Prince would make the call to get it activated. You see the account is in his name through his work and he was working nights so.....I had to wait.
The next morning I ran some errands while I waited and sure enough, I got texts on my new phone! And I could see them in full colour and conversation mode!
I had a hair appointment so I lovingly put my new baby in my coat pocket and got on the road. I thought this would be a good chance to use the voice commands but that didn't go very well - in typical Princess fashion, I hadn't read the instructions. Speaking of reading instructions...while my hair was being cut my phone started to ring. Wahoo! My first call on my new phone! I picked it up, saw there was a call coming in, apologized to everyone for the incessant ringing and could not...for the life of me...figure out...how to answer the durn thing! As soon as I got home I downloaded the user manual and spent the afternoon learning how to use my new phone...as a phone.
Have a fabulous day!

Interesting hand dryer!
I came across this hand dryer a few weeks ago in the Chapters store in the Eaton Centre. Once I washed my hands I found myself looking around the washroom wondering where the dryers were or would I have to use that awful thin toilet paper to dry my hand! I saw this thing on the wall and at first thought it was some sort of radiator type heater of some sort - then I realised this IS the hand dryer!
You put your hands in it and warm air automatically starts blowing and your hands are dry in a few moments! The best part - you put your hands down to dry them as opposed to putting them up to use the old fashioned hand dryers. If you are short like me this makes a big difference because when someone around 5' tall has wet hands and has to reach up the water runs up their arms and soaks their shirt or sweater...with this newfangled hand dryer you always keep your hands down and your clothes dry! Genius!
Whoever designed this needs a medal!
Yes, I was taking photos in the ladies room and yes, someone did walk in while I was trying to get a good shot of the hand dryer. No, I don't have any shame anymore.
Have a fabulous day!
