September 11

Can anyone forget where they were?  What they were doing?  I can't believe it has been 11 years since that horrible morning.  The world changed so much in an instant, I hardly recognize it anymore.  All because of hate.  My thoughts are with those who lost loved ones on 9/11, we haven't forgotten you.

I have been thinking about democracy a lot lately.  As I spend every day chairing a committee fighting for democracy in my own town, it isn't lost on me that the vote at town hall has been scheduled for today.  We held our rally within feet of the war memorial, on purpose.  We spoke of those who gave their lives in the name of democracy, honouring them and inspired by them to keep going. Today we put our local government to the test - it will either end in applause, or a riot.  Wish us luck.

If you can, please leave your comment here instead of on Twitter. Thanks!

 Have a fabulous day!
