Now that I am getting a bit used to Polyvore I have been able to assemble a few outfits on there. But what I don't understand is why we can't upload our own photos...you know...photos of clothes we own! I have discovered the only clothes available on Polyvore are clothes for sale, online, right now. That doesn't really help when I want to create an outfit around a shirt I bought 20 years ago. Or even last year. Anyhoo, I am plugging along, trying to find pieces that are close to my own.
I wore this outfit to the country club for Christmas brunch with my in-laws. It's a white shirt, grey trousers, houndstooth wrap, T&Co twilly, LV bag, and some accessories I wear quite often as they appear over and over. This really does confirm the idea of having a few good, solid basics and they will get you through most occasions.
The Suburban Prince, for some reason, insisted on doing the driving this day so I got to spend time taking photos with my new phone. If you are Facebook friends with me you probably saw the photo I took of myself in the car. Apparently I look like a movie star in this outfit. Works for me!
I took this photo in the parking lot...with my MIL in the background asking everyone what I am doing over and over. She has hip and knee problems so she walks slow...which means unlike the rest of us who walk fast, she gets a much longer view of the world. More time to take it all in. I think because she raised three boys, she can't see anyone doing anything unsupervised and not wonder out loud what they are doing. I constantly fight the urge to scream, 'Mind your business!!'. So, here we see the grey trousers which, in this photo, make it seem like I have a thigh of gargantuan proportions (Must spend more time practicing with self portraits), along with the wrap and some accessories...you can just barely see my polkadotty socks. There's always a little bit of GTH going on with my outfits.
Have a fabulous day!

Definitely looks like a movie star outfit to me! Love the wrap. :)
Pinterest...most of the stuff on there is "sold out!" I just put stuff together that kinda looks like what I wear. I haven't done a Polyvore in a few days...chop chop Miss Janice!
Anywho...LOVE the houndstooth wrap and the LV goes without saying!
It's a fabulous outfit! The whole ensemble is classic and perfect for brunch at the country club.
Oh lovely! Hang on there are Tiffany twillys? What a fabulous colour to own in a twilly, oh I bet it's another US only product.
Tres chic! I saw your look on FB and you do look like a movie star. I bet you stopped people in their tracks.
I love your outfit. I saw the pic on FB of you in the car!

Great outfit. I agree that it's key to have a few classic pieces that will carry through all the trends.
