As summer dwindles....

This is the first summer in a long, long time that I have really enjoyed myself.  I might be accused of being the anti-prep as I am just not much of a summer person.  I was bred for chilly, damp castles, not hot, hazy, humid weather.  This summer I muddled through the wall of heat and went to lots of events and socialized until I started craving alone time.  I am sad to see summer end.  There.  I said it.  I feel like I didnt quite accomplish the perfect tan, drink enough cocktails, swim enough.  We only went to the beach twice...maybe three times.  My house would argue tho - it shows the signs of neglect and is begging me to do a big autumn clean.

We have one more week until the Suburban Prince goes back to work and I have lots of fun things to cram into my life before Labour Day so I am not even going to try to blog until after then...I have no desire to force myself to stick to a schedule or come up with interesting things to say.  I am sure September and PSL season will bring plenty of inspiration.  The cooler and shorter days will drive me back to my cocoon soon enough.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!  I know I will!

Have a fabulous day!

I love the summer but I found this one way too hot and humid. I didn't want to go outside as much as I usually do.

I'm not a lover of summer either. I am very much looking forward to Sept.

In our home the motto is summer is hot , winter is long. I've been weeping in my beer the past week or so, feeling down about the cooler temps and the coming autumn. The gods took pity on me today and delivered temps near 37. Same tomorrow. All is right with my world.

Don't worry it will cool off soon enough.

I love summer, but also love the transition to fall. Cooler, crisper weather.

My house is in serious need of some TLC, too. It needs a deep clean. Once school starts...

Enjoy the rest of summer.

I love Spring and Summer. I crave the light that these seasons bring. Autumn makes me a bit melancholy.

I go into each summer excited and so ready for it but by this time of the year I am always ready to see it go...but, here, we still have a month of hot to indure. I don't crave the cold but love something deliciously in between. Have a super day!

Enjoy what's left of the summer. I love summer. It's always too short for me, and I never want it to end!

Like you I wasn't made for Mediterranean summers, but this year was much cooler, less organised and planned and subsequently more pleasant. Despite having to cancel my holiday back home to the UK, I've really enjoyed my summer. Perhaps just going-with-the-flow is something that just comes with age ;-)Enjoy the rest of the summer Sweets!

Unlike Toad I adore Autumn. I have had enough of 100 degree + weather. Although I may just have to stop in at Lily's up the street and Anthropologie as well!

Come and join my Fashion Giveaway from Fresh Produce. You will love the colors!
