I am going into the city today for a consultation for lasik eye surgery! I am very very excited and reallyreallyreallyreallyreally hope they say yes, I can have it done!
I have a few stops planned while I am downtown...Holt Renfrew, Longchamp, MAC and a few other places to pick up some things I have ordered.
I have been thinking about these a lot lately...I havnt worn them since I was a teenager but I will be doing my best to come home with a pair of them today!
I am still working on my birthday wish list so if you have any suggestions please let me know! The sky's the limit!

Good luck today with the consultation. I almost did it five years ago and chickened out. I know. Silly, right?
I had a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers in high school, too - back when they were $50. I bought a new pair - brown tortoise-shell - last October and I love them (now they're over 3 times the price). I wear them all the time. Are you planning on getting white?
Is this a big birthday coming up? I love to travel, so I usually ask for trips, preferably to Europe, but I'll take what I can get.

My husband has really been needing to do this....but it's frightening having someone mess with your eyes. I think he's ready....so good luck.

I Did it THREE years ago - my mom did it 22 years ago. It took her days to recover...my surgery took less than 10 minutes and I was tip top by that evening.
Can't wait to hear. Will did it before I met him. Loves it, but just stated doing glasses now for "distance", TV. Makes things sharper. Good luck!
My mom had lasik and I mean her glasses were THICK! And she did quite well and sees perfectly (and she's a microbiologist, so looking through a microscope has always been a problem until now). Good luck!

Have fun shopping downtown and you should totally pick up a pair of Rayban wayfarers...i wear them all the time!

The Mister did it with great success almost 20 years ago. He had to get glasses this year, but I know he would definitely do it again. I hope you're a good candidate and have a great doc!
A friend of mine just had it done. She said it was quick and had a tiny bit of discomfort with it. I hope you are a good candidate for it. I am reluctant to give up contacts and glasses.
I got lasik done for my 30th birthday. My contacts were like coke bottles, I was BLIND. I am SO GLAD I did laski. It will be the best decision you ever made. It's so easy peasy,in and out and you get a valium too :)

I wish you only the best of luck! My husband has been saying that he is going to have that surgery - for 15 years! Really. I am a big fan of Ray Bans. My older daughter has taken custody of a pair that I still have from the early 90s. And I just got a pair yesterday from Rue La La - half the price retail. Have a great weekend.

Oh, I hope you got good news and how I would love to have this done (sounds kind of strange to wish for surgery on my eyes...but...lol).
