The View From Here

The other night I made the 45km trip to Starbucks and Costco to stock up.  The drive to Peterborough is always a pleasant one with lots of pretty scenery peppered with hamlets and villages.

The view of Rice Lake from the road.

I love living in a very hilly area!

The road we were on suddenly ended.  Very Suddenly.

I was paying attention so I didn't drive into the lake
but the road ends about 4 feet before the water!

I am so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place with amazing vistas all year round!

Have a fabulous day!

So pretty--hope you are having fun getting ready for the holidays! And, glad you didn't sail into what I'm sure is frigid water.

Wow...you could have used an amphibi car...are you old enough to remember them?
Such pretty scenery...glad that you were paying attention to the road.

How lovely!! As a Brit living in Spain your post made me feel really homesick. Only the UK can do such grey, atmospheric skies ;-)

Very pretty! Scenery like that will definitely take your mind off the length of the drive. God help any inattentive (or drunk) drivers if they travel that road!
