Here are a few more photos of the snowflake party from last weekend!
I put out foam snowflakes to be used as coasters - notice the glass of red wine on the left side...hmmm...someone was obviously raised in a barn! The cake. Oh how we struggled with this cake! I never, ever want to work with fondant again! I don't have the patience for it! The cake started to sag a bit and we couldn't figure out how to make the seams 'go away' so I made all of those little snowballs to cover them!
My friend didn't want the winter wonderland I had in mind but she did say yes to feather boas! Yes those are plastic table cloths *hangs head in shame* budgets made it impossible to invest in cloth ones!
I put those big snowflakes everywhere! I had hundreds of them! You can see where the cake is sagging a bit. We actually cried over this cake!
So there you have it! A restrained effort on my part but my friend enjoyed it and appreciated my help!
Have a fabulous day!

WOW!!!!
You did a fantastic job. The colors are beautiful.
Excellent job...are u sure you didn't used to be an event planner?!
Nothing worse than a small budget getting in the way of a big fabulous vision!
super creative and cute!... and apparently fondant is sooo tricky to work with... but your cake turned out really well!!!
Looks fabulous! Fondant is the devil!! But you did a great job! Love the feathers!
Oh Yum! Everything looked so beautiful! But, I have to agree with the above commenter... Fondant is EVIL!!!
I love the colors and the table setting. You did an awesome job. xoxo
Gorgeous! :) Everything looks SO pretty. A job well done for sure. :)
SO beautiful! I admire you for even attempting fondant....I stay away from it! It looks like a lovely party.
xoxo!
Oh my gosh! That cake is just beautiful!! Come over and host a party for me!!
Nikosmommy - I think I am a party planner in this life :O) I love doing it and would love to do it for a living!
Dina - Anytime!
Thanks for appreciating my hate for fondant - I figured after watching every episode of Cake Boss it would be easy! I guess not! Never again!
Everything looks so beautiful! That cake looks amazing, great job!
You did a beautiful job. That cake is a work of art, what patience you have!
OMG how pretty.
That is so pretty. I especially like the feather boa, it ties it all together. So pretty.
Sweet! And please don't hang your head in shame over the plastic cloths. A good tip I have learned over the years is to check out the fabric stores for remnant pieces that can work as tablecloths for casual events. I have gotten some great fabrics for practically nothing.
T&C Mom - I would've done that but we dont have any fabric stores around here :O( Sad isn't it!
I think it looks perfect! Love how the colors match your blog :)
Wow! What a pretty party! I am so very impressed about the fondant! I have to say that you are much braver than me!
How fun! Everything looks so pretty! Love the cake!
MCW - LOL I didnt even think about that when I picked the blog background - I guess it is the time of year for these colours :O)
What a wonderful party!! I love it!
I think you did a fabulous job - both with the cake and the decorations! Hold your head up high - no shame necessary! You can plan a party for me any time!

That cake is so cute! You did a fantastic job with the theme. I think that party planning should be in your future.
Thank you for always stopping by and leaving me such sweet comments! I really appreciate them.
The cake doesn't look saggy to me. I think it was well worth the Herculean effort! XXOO
You did a fabulous job with the party. I haven't tried fondant yet ... and don't think I will!! The cake looks great, even though it caused so much trouble!
It is simply stunning!!! I love everything! Makes me want to have a party...
Everything is lovely! I am not a fan of fondant. It tastes horrible. I don't get why you want something that looks great, but tastes yucky. I am a buttercream frosting girl all the way (don't even get me started on whipped cream frosting-yuck). TFS the great photos!
How adorable, I love how you decorated and glad your party went so well. And yum - even snowflake cookies too!
