My view for the next week....

My uncle lives very close to the castle...anytime I walk 'doon the toon' I pass right by it.  I am looking forward to a week of Irn Bru, fish & chips with mushy peas, visits with cousins, big burly accents and Coronation Street in real time.  I'll miss my guys 'sae muckle' but it will be nice to not have to cook or clean up after anyone for a few days.

Royal Ribbons will be 'closed' until May 17th.  I will be answering emails but not printing ribbon until I get back.

If you can, please leave your comment here instead of on Twitter. Thanks!

Have a fabulous day!

How cold is it? Are you surviving? How long are you here for? Questions, questions, questions.

Oh how fabulous - have a good plate of fish and chips (with vinegar) and mushy peas for me!

I was confused for a moment when I read 'doon the toon' as they say that here in Newcastle. But then I've always thought the Geordie accent sounds quite Scottish. Hope you've had yourself some haggis. I love the stuff, though I don't indulge very often. Then again, you can just walk it off up and down the Royal Mile. We're going to visit Sarah, Bill's daughter, in a few weeks up there in Edinburgh. I'm planning on visiting a few wee thrifty shops in Morningside and Merchiston. I'll look forward to hearing all about your adventures in Scotland!
