WOW! Over the holidays my follower number hit 500 and here we are into the new year and there are even more followers!
When I started my blog a few years ago I never could've imagined how many great friends I would make, how many great conversations I would have...or how many of you would decide to follow me! Often you are my inspiration and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuing to keep up with my life.
It has been an honour and a pleasure to read your posts and comments! This is why I am asking all of you to please...leave comments for bloggers. I know loads of you who tell me you read blogs but then never comment. I am not the only blogger to notice a decline in comments and we have no idea why. So please...even if it's simply 'Have a great day!'...please leave comments on blogs you read. It lets us know you were here and that we are heard. Thank you! I am hoping we can get back to the comment numbers we all used to have a couple of years ago!
In case you don't know...I also have a Facebook page, a Pinterest board, Twitter, and my ribbon business Royal Ribbons has a blog of personalized ribbon and Facebook page!
To continue the tradition I will be answering questions from all of you wonderful followers! So please, feel free to ask me anything and I will do my best to answer! I can't wait to read and answer all of your questions!

I'm happy to post a comment, and I agree -- at my old blog, I'd get double-digit comments on each post. I think social networking has diluted the blog community somewhat; some blog favorites get tons of interaction on their FB and very little on their much-more-detailed blogs. I spent a lot of my "chair time" at FB for a few years and have cut it down to near-nothing in order to have better conversations!
My question: what are your goals for 2012? :)

I agree about commenting. I am usually very good about commenting on the blogs I read, but sometimes I don't have time or I am reading on my smartphone - which makes commenting difficult, to say the least.
I feel I know you so well...what can I ask you??
How about this: How far in advance you plan your blog posts? Or do you create them on the fly?
500 readers, wow very impressive, plus 7 more who have sneaked in! It's still a holiday her, so we're basking about doing nothing.

You have an excellent point on the commenting.
I know I have been guilty of visiting, reading.. and then run out of time to comment and though I intend to go back, sometimes everyday things get in the way. I do make every effort to respond back to those who have taken the time to visit my blog and left a comment - either by responding to their comment via email - if comment notification is sent with their email address. If it's through blogger no-response, I try to visit their blog and leave a comment.

I confess I've been a little slow developing good comment habits, but its importance can't be overstated, so I'm trying to improve. I know how lonely it can get when it feels like nobody's listening!

I sometimes stop in on your blog, we have quite a few blogs and commenters in common. This may be the first time I have commented.
Congratulations! I know how you feel about comments When I have a post that gets 100 views I would expect more than one comment. But I just don't get them. I try to comment on most posts I read. I know other bloggers are talking about this so hopefully the word will get out. :)

When I read your comment on how time consuming it can be to write/maintain a Blog I was relieved to know I wasn’t the only one to see it as such – sometimes
