My new best friend

I avoided upgrading my phone for a loooong time.  I have used the same phone for 6 or 7 years and never felt much need to get anything that does more than be a phone.  These days I am so busy running around from one meeting to another all while running my home and business I decided the time had come.  No longer was I willing to be kept waiting for 20 minutes at a doctor's office and not be able to check my emails.

After weeks and weeks of research I opted for this little number.  I got it in white, because that's what all the cool kids are doing.  It arrived ready to use, unlike the old days when a phone arrived blank and needed to be charged for 24 hours.  I spent the first night programming all of my contacts into it, quite chuffed I figured out that much on the first day and waited anxiously for the next morning when the Suburban Prince would make the call to get it activated.  You see the account is in his name through his work and he was working nights so.....I had to wait.

The next morning I ran some errands while I waited and sure enough, I got texts on my new phone!  And I could see them in full colour and conversation mode!

I had a hair appointment so I lovingly put my new baby in my coat pocket and got on the road.  I thought this would be a good chance to use the voice commands but that didn't go very well - in typical Princess fashion, I hadn't read the instructions.  Speaking of reading instructions...while my hair was being cut my phone started to ring.  Wahoo!  My first call on my new phone!  I picked it up, saw there was a call coming in, apologized to everyone for the incessant ringing and could not...for the life of me...figure out...how to answer the durn thing!  As soon as I got home I downloaded the user manual and spent the afternoon learning how to use my new phone...as a phone.

Have a fabulous day!

Thankfully the learning curve on these tech toys is very fast. I love my IPhone and get more texts than calls these days...btw mine is white too so I guess we've got similar taste!

I'm even worse, I have an iPhone but only use the internet part of it, I haven't got the option to use it as phone as I have never set it up!

That's funny! I've had my current phone for just over a year and I still sometimes forget how to answer it when it rings!

That's so funny. My phone is also about 6 years old and I've avoided getting a Smartphone because I don't want a facility to check my e.mails whereever I am. Now I'm having second thoughts ;-)

Sweet phone! I have a cell phone that was given to me by the company I work for. It's not as cool as yours but it's free so I don't complain :)
