Since we don't have snow in Toronto....

...I thought I would share the snow in Scotland!  The Suburban Prince's cousin emailed me the other day to tell me about the snow and how some parts of Scotland are pretty much paralyzed by it.  Aparantly they are getting almost a foot of snow a day in some places!  Here in the Great White North that would be managable but in Scotland winters are usually quite mild...and it isn't even December!

A phone box - yes, they still have pay phones!

Overlooking Edinburgh.

A white-out in Dalkeith

All the photos were stolen borrowed from The Scotsman newspaper.

Have a fabulous day!

What magical scenes! I'm sure folks over there aren't thrilled to be snowed under, but it sure is beautiful!

Very pretty pictures! We haven't had any snow yet so it was nice to see these!

Gorgeous photos, but I imagine those poor people in Scotland aren't too impressed!
If you're looking for snow, I have LOTS for you. We've had to have our driveway plowed out 3 times in the last week. On the plus side, my kids are getting lots of fresh air on their new sled hill. Apparently, growing up in Manitoba forces you to get out there and make the best of it. I grew up in England. I prefer to hibernate!

Pictures like that scare me! I'm liking the lack of snow, although I really hope we get a white christmas. Green Christmases in Canada just seem strange

Yup, that's how it looks up here in Minnesota too... lots and lots of snow!

Wow! I saw this on the news, but I have to confess that I am glad that the grass is still green in Maryland. Have a great day. xoxo

Ohh, I miss Scotland SO much! I am so jealous that we never got a snowfall like this while I was living there. I loved Dalkeith - my flatmate all 5 years lived in Dalkeith and I have found memories of it -- nothing like this little wintry wonderland though!

wow! that is amazing. We had a few flakes in the Memphis area today. Way to early to be saying that too.

Wow, those are great photos. My parents are both Scottish and all our family are over there. Hope they are coping. They don't normally get snow that heavy. Being Australian, I am envious of a White Christmas. I'm yet to experience that. I'm sure many there would easily swap me for a summer on Bondi beach here!
