The other day I opened my email to find this message from Decisions on Margaritas waiting for me. It is really amazing how small the world is and how we are all only a few degrees of separation from each other.
"Dear Suburban Princess,
I find that you have an excellent list of blogs on your blog. Monograms and Manicures has been a long-time favorite as she frequently talks about places in Dallas that I am familiar with.
Tonights blog entry at M and M is about a dear sweet family - the mother is Eloise and the girl is Vivian. As I read it I couldn't believe my eyes because I know of Eloise and Vivian. Eloise is my friend Cheryl's sister-in-law, dear sick little Vivian is her niece.
Cheryl and I were very good friends in university and for a good while thereafter. I remember many evenings her telling me about Vivian.
When we moved from Dallas and I divorced my husband, who was also her husband's best friend, we mostly lost touch. We would send random "like" messages to each other's pictures on Facebook and send short superficial hello messages but only from time to time after way too long of a time.
Just recently I have been feeling very badly about losing touch with Cheryl, but I also didn't know where to begin to reach out to her again. Her boys are so big, she only met my son when he was 3 months old - I don't really know her anymore.
But reading Monograms and Manicures tonight was the nudge I needed to get back in touch with her. And I credit God, working through your blog and then Monograms and Manicures with putting us in touch again.

Blogging really does bring people closer together. Someone called me a "dork" the other day because I blog. They really just don't understand it's power of friendships and connections.
This was wonderful to hear as there are lots of people in the blog community praying for Vivian.
That's an amazing story. I love it.
Thanks SP. Its been amazing and beautiful to be in touch with her again. The blogging community is important and I have been amazed over and over again the power of it. But this takes the cupcake. Thank you for your blog. Love, Associate Girl
How wonderful! The God does work in mysterious ways ... what we ask out to the universe if we really want it and have faith ... we get a response - sometimes not in the manner we think ..Great to hear that these friends were able reunite!!! ... HHL
Thank you for sharing this sweet story. I think the blog network is really wonderful... there are so many neat people!
WOW. I love this story and I love that technology is being used for so much good. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, that is such a great story! I'm so glad you shared this!
I simply LOVE this. It is what blogging is all about... connecting us all together...you never know who youll meet or who you will reconnect with!
This is a great story and I'm reminded again of the connections that we make with fellow bloggers, and how those who have never blogged don't always "get it". Thank you for sharing this!
saw the following comment on your blog....(my niece follows you and it was her dog you took a picture of), and I am curious who you are, as your contact info won't load. I went to school with Dave Furnish.
S...There is a marina at the other end of the beach - there are condos surrounding this marina and it is rumoured David Furnish's parents own one of the penthouses. Should I even run into David or Elton I already have a couple of perfect ice breakers...Elton John and I have the same birthday and David and I grew up in the same place and I think we even went to the same high school (the same one Mike Myers went to!) so we are practically related! I know if I meet them we will be fast friends!
Curious,
Denise
Denise - I tried to contact you but you dont have any contact information. I have my email plastered all over my blog so please feel free to email me!
Your neice is a sweetie pie! And her little dog is a cutie.
As you know, I had a strange coincidence happen just recently....it is always amazing what a small small world it is and I'm glad I'm part of the blog world....it keeps it small!
What an inspiring tale!
Wow! What an amazing story! Mysterious ways, indeed, but I think God is always interested in our mending relationships and praying for one another.
Awwww... I love stories like this! If we let Him, God does guide us in the right direction...
