I took this picture yesterday as I was driving home through town. I was sitting at a stop sign which is how I got such a clear photo. In the interest of goose/gosling safety I called the police department. Yes I have them on speed dial, it's a small town, we are on a first name basis with half of the police force.
Police: Police department, how can I help you?
Me: Hi there, I know this isn't a police emergency but at the bottom of Queen Street there is a family of geese with their little babies trying to cross the street. Traffic is stuck and I am worried they are going to end up run over. Maybe if someone isn't busy they can go down there and help them get across the road?
Police: No problem, thanks for letting us know, I'll send someone down to do some flocking.

Hahaha!!! Too cute!!!!!!! We have the same problem around here sometimes and I have actually heard that a woman plowed through a group of them one time. It is so sad and terrible that someone would do that. :(

That is so funny!! I'm sure the policeman who got dispatched for that was thrilled.
I'm surprised! In our town we had a deer in a store and when the police were called they said that the retailer should just shoo it out!

So Cute!!!!! We actually encountered a few geese crossing the road TODAY and normally we slow down to let the cross, but NEW DRIVER started to speed up....they actually FLEW away....poor darlings....sorry we have a 16 year old!!!
