Valentine's Day Ideas - Part 3

Today's post is about Valentine cookies! I found all sorts of them from intricate to ones you can make with your children! No one will tell on you if you use a mix!

How cute are these! They are stuck in sugar or salt - I use Epsom salts to look like snow! Just make your cookies like you normally would but put a stick in them before baking!

Simple but still so charming! I bet you could even ask the bakery at the grocery store to make you plain heart shaped cookies so all you need to do is decorate them!

Lindsor cookies are always so elegant! They remind me of stained glass!

I love this one not so much for the cookie but for the idea! Get cute tins from the craft store and make your cookies to fit in them! This makes a big statement!

A cookie bouquet! Put your cookies on sticks before baking and you will be able to assemble this in no time!

Chocolate covered Oreos with heart shaped sprinkles! This is a great one to do with your children! All you need is cookies, chocolate and sprinkles! No baking!

I love the simplicity of these heart cookies. The squiggles are random so even if you don't have confidence in your piping skills the lace look works!

Another great one to do with the children - you can buy icing in the baking aisle. Betty Crocker has a new cookie icing that dries hard like a royal icing! I haven't tried it yet but I plan to use it next week so if you have used it please feel free to tell us what you think of it!

Just bake one big chocolate chip cookie and with a little icing you can add your own message! Pilsbury sells cookie dough in the dairy aisle so you don't even need to mess up the kitchen! If you want to bake from scratch by all means go for it! I realise how busy moms are these days and I know myself, if I can get a mix and get the baking done in 20 minutes or bake from scratch and the whole thing takes me 2 hours...I will take the mix. Maybe when my son is older I will get back to baking from scratch! Lots of our younger, single friends don't always have everything they need to bake from scratch so the mixes are an inexpensive, easy way to spread the love!

Have a fabulous day!
