Even shopping at IKEA can be fun!

I have Olympic mittens for sale! Please email me if you would like to buy a pair! I am willing to send them to someone other than yourself but please keep in mind I am not running a business with this nor I am not making a profit. I am simply offering to get them to people who wouldnt be able to get them otherwise!

A few weeks ago we went to IKEA - I always find something worth sharing when I am there - thank goodness I have a blog!

This is a .... wait for it .... PRINCESS CAKE! They saw me coming a mile away!

The Frack mirror. If you think this is funny you just outed yourself as a BSG fan!
It is cake with jam and whipped cream covered with a thin layer of marzipan. I dont really like whipped cream or marzipan but this was very yummy. I would definately have it the next time I put myself through a visit to IKEA.

It was a successful visit as we found a piece of furniture for the front door and got the Little Prince a table and chairs so he can have his snacks at his own table. On our way of the store we saw Jeanne Beker which was kind of fun! She had no makeup on and was moving so slow I almost asked her to pick up the pace a little as she was blocking everyone who was trying to get out of the store!

Have a fabulous day!

Oh, I miss IKEA!! We used to live in a city that had one but, no more. We moved to a sad place without one. (Just kidding, I love where I live but I do wish it had an IKEA!)

I love going to Ikea too... and I bought that mirror too. It's now installed in my bathroom. I love seeing my face magnified. Hahaha!

I am jealous of anyone that can go to an IKEA. I'm even more jealous now that I know they have delectable treats!

An IKEA opened near me late last year but I still have not had a chance to visit it. Maybe soon so I can see what everyone is raving about. Hmmm... maybe you would prefer the Hawaiian Princess Cake I make. It is a delicious coconut cake with a wickedly rich filling of coconut and pineapple, covered with a cream cheese frosting. I recreated it from a cake I saw at a bakery several years ago.

BTW I did finally get out and have some me time. I went to dinner and Wicked with a friend and had a great time! The show was awesome.

Jeanne Baker in Ikea!! Celeb sighting I'd say! Even fashionistas like good deals on home interior apparently...

You know I have never been to IKEA. I am dying to go! We just got one about 3 hours away from me so I really need to make a point to go and see what all the hype is about.

Have a great day!

PS... My closet is filled with blacks and whites and grays. Hahaha! But I do wear some colors during summer. Just a bit though. xoxo
