A Quick and Easy Pasta Dish! Part 1!

This is a quick and easy pasta dish I make from time to time. It is very healthy and portable so it is perfect for busy moms!

I use any kind of whole wheat pasta, frozen peas, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, salt and pepper.

Pasta has been given a hard time lately but it is a great source of protein as well as energy! If you don't like/want/cant eat wheat you can use brown rice pasta, soba noodles, corn pasta or any other type of noodle you like.

I boil the pasta per the directions on the package, drain and mix with the frozen peas, cheese, oil and S&P. Make this to taste, I don't have and wont give a recipe for this so just use your instincts! Be brave!

Once it is all mixed up I put it in small containers and let them cool before putting them in the fridge. When I am harried or just plain busy I can grab a container and a fork, toss them in my bag and head out the door - yes I do sometimes have to eat at red lights.

Don't forget to enter my Stationary Giveaway! The deadline is coming soon!

Have a fabulous day!

Why do I never think of quick and easy things like that?? Do you thaw the peas or just put them in there frozen? I actually need to make that right now for when I get home from work today. I get off at 1 - right after lunchtime so I'm starving and WAY too often drive thru somewhere which I'm trying so hard not to do! Thanks for a great tip ~ ♥

I put them in frozen - the heat of the pasta defrosts them!

I also keep lots of All Bran and Fibre One bars in the pantry for when I am starving. Costco has great prices on them! Anything that is under 200 cals and more than 5 grams of fibre is fair game!

Simple and classic! Not a surprise coming from you... I'll have to look around online to see if I can get some of the pastas you mentioned. Or maybe I'll look at the health food store here. They have all sorts of interesting things but I always forget to go there. Thanks for the suggestion & the recipe...
