Pumpkins and Garland and Mums! OH MY!

Please enter my October Giveaway!

Here is what I did with our front step for Autumn! Lots of Mums and Impatiens from the summer. I got picks from the dollar store that have lots of Autumn leaves on them and stuck them into the pots with the flowers to add colour. I ran out to the farm yesterday and picked up 10 pumpkins and got them all arranged with the flowers. The garland came from Big Lots I think - I am sure I picked it up on our way home from Vermont 2 years ago. The wreath is a Walmart one that just had one colour of leaves on it so I took apart some of the dollar store leaf picks and added a lot more leaves in lots of colours to it and I think it looks great now! I need to figure out how to make the Mum in the black urn look better...it needs some filler or something!

You must all ooh and aah at the beautiful stone work - the Suburban Prince laid it all this summer. The step that was there before was so very incredibly ugly we just couldnt take it any longer! He rebuilt the whole thing and laid all of the stones!

Have a fabulous day!

Wow! I am impressed. You have inspired me to do some decorating of our vast yet "naked" front porch and steps.

Love the autumn decor ~ you can never have enough mums, pumpkins or gourds in my opinion. Great job on the stone work!

Impressive front door and quite an impressive handy-man hubby you have there! The front of your house looks great! Makes me look forward to what you might do for Christmas!

By the way, your address is ... 5 ... ? that's it? hahaha I'm used to seeing: "10225 something place street"! Five seemed so...odd, like you're at the beginning of the world :)

Lovely home!

Jenn - yes...5 :O) I live on a small street, just 12 houses and we are at number 5!
I could be really arrogant and say it all begins with me! LOL

I LOVE IT...what a great job! Beautiful colors and it looks so inviting. Have you thought about using some moss or fern in the black urn (not intending to rhyme there lol) for filler? The green will really add pop against that deep red mum :).
