My Closet ReDo!

First things first! Please dont forget to enter my October giveaway!

This past week I was taking my summer clothes out of my closet and wardrobe and I realised it was a good chance to FINALLY get my closet looking the way I had always planned. Before we moved into our 'fixer upper' I bought 2 rolls of lilac and white striped wallpaper I always planned to use in MY closet. The Suburban Prince uses the closet in the guest room and guess when it was painted and finished with a big metal closet organizer? Yeah, within the first couple of months here!

3 years later I decided enough is enough and emptied my closet, handed the Suburban Prince the rolls of wallpaper and suggested sweetly he get to work!

Above is the 'before' shot - I had taken most of my clothes out at this point, including the 17 bins of seasonal items. Yes. 17. The Suburban Prince asked me how on earth I managed to fit everything in there. My answer is 'I am very good at Tetris'. I bought carpeting for all of the closets so that has been there for a while now. Notice there are no baseboards! Dreadful!

And here is the 'after' shot! I took it before the Suburban Prince had finished putting the baseboards in but I was so excited I couldn't wait to take photos! I did mention something about crown moulding around the ceiling but the way the Suburban Prince glared at me I decided that is a topic for another day.

So now I need to finish sorting through all of my clothes. I have a stack to donate to the local charity shop and a stack to sell (look for some great deals posted on my blog soon!) and a huge stack of hangers since I took lots of dresses and summer shirts out and got them packed in bins.

Going through all of my Autumn/Winter clothes is so exciting now that I can fit into them again! I am finally back in the weight range I was before I got pregnant so I get to shop in my own closet again! Yay me!

Have a fabulous day!

Awesome colors! I actually like that & I'm not a fan of purple! He did a great job! I never think of things like putting wallpaper or painting closets! So thanks! :o)

Ah, this task is something I completely need to do, but I don't have the reward of a newly wallpapered space at the end. And, by the way, I LOVE the lilac and white stripes. So adorable! I need to get myself into an organizing mood... blah... :)

Gorgeous closet makeover. When asked what make for a happy marriage my first answer is double sinks and separate closest. LOL

Have a blessed day and enjoy your beautiful closet.

I declared Saturday "organization day". I'm nervous about purging anything. Especially my lovely clothes. But my closet is about to eat me.
