Movie: Julie & Julia
I went with a friend to see Julie & Julia the other night - and I loved it!
I recently read the book and it was so nice to see the story told by Meryl Streep and Amy Adams.
If Julia Child was anything like how Meryl Streep played her I think anyone who knew her was very fortunate! She seemed to just be in love with life! And her darling husband! Her story is so inspiring!
Amy Adams did a wonderful job of playing Julie just the way I imagined her - strong yet almost always on the verge of tears.
The food!!! I almost fainted when I saw the chocolate cream pie being made! Yum! I certainly left the theatre inspired to take on more recipes I might not have tried before. I have so many cookbooks and I seem to make the same 5 dishes from each one over and over - the time has come to branch out!
I have been wearing my pearls since I saw the movie but I have decided these ones from T&Co are now at the top of my wish list!
How are you feeling about your cooking these days? Do you have a cookbook you think you should be exploring more? Mine is French Food At Home by Laura Calder. I watch her show on the Food channel and she really makes everything so easy. I have made a few of her recipes but with the cool weather coming I will be taking a closer look and expanding my repertoire!

My cousin just told me I have to see that movie. I must! xo
TQM just saw it and thought it was outstanding. She described it as *really* very good and Meryl Streep as ideal for her role. Hopefully we'll see it before too long.
Have a nice week Miss Princess!
